  • Divorce - As divorce lawyers, we strive to keep you focused on life after the divorce. We aim to help you make sound, rational decisions about divorce-related issues and avoid future problems.

  • Child Custody - We strive to negotiate reasonable resolutions to child custody disputes. In California, the courts generally encourage equal parenting time.
  • Child Support - In the vast majority of cases, California courts base child support payments on the California Child Support Guidelines. We work to help you obtain a fair child support award, either through negotiation, mediation or litigation. We are also experienced handling child support enforcement matters when a parent repeatedly fails to pay support that has been ordered.
  • Spousal Support - Spousal support (also known as alimony) may be awarded to a spouse in need of financial support. Whether spousal support will be paid, the amount of support and the period of time it will be paid are determined by examining a number of factors, including: the length of the marriage, the standard of living during the marriage and each spouse's health, education, training, income and earning ability.
  • Property Division - California is a community property state. Generally all property acquired during a marriage is split equally between the husband and wife. We strive to help you receive your fair share of the community property and protect your separate property.
  • Restraining Orders - Our firm assists individuals with restraining orders and kick-out orders. We represent victims of domestic violence as well as alleged abusers in motions for protective orders and restraining orders.
  • Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements - California is a community property state. Property that spouses acquire during the marriage is considered community property and is subject to a 50/50 division during divorce proceedings. A pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreement can protect your premarital property in the event of a future divorce.
  • Paternity Suits - In those cases where parents are not married, it may be necessary to bring a paternity action to legally establish the identity of the father. Our firm provides comprehensive assistance in paternity and parentage actions. Our representation includes obtaining orders for a DNA test and helping with any child support or child custody issues.
  • Modifications - While the final order on property division generally cannot be changed, child support, child custody and spousal support can all be modified in certain circumstances, such as when a parent's income has increased or decreased, or when a parent wishes to relocate or move away with the child.
